Marin Builders Association Acquires Marin Home Show Event

The Marin Builders Association is pleased to announce that we have acquired the rights to the Marin Home Show. The Marin Home Show will continue to be an annual event where the public can learn about new products and services. In addition, the show will help homeowners connect with contractors about various ways to improve their properties and their quality of life. Green Building products and services will be a new focus for this year’s event. To ensure a smooth transition for exhibitors, Doris Bagley will stay on as producer for the event which will be on May 22 & 23, 2010 at the Marin County Fairgrounds.

Plans are underway to introduce a new logo and advertising campaign. With this new direction for the home show we are expanding the marketing budget by $15,000. This increase will enable us to reach new media markets. We are confident there will be an increase in attendance. In addition, under the direction of the Marin Builders Association's Green Building Committee, there will be a new green component in 2010. A "Going Green" tent will feature green-building products and information about home energy performance and retrofitting. Experts will also be on hand to educate consumers.

The Marin Builders Association is the perfect organization for the continuation and future reinterpretation of the Marin Home Show. With this opportunity, the association will be able to promote exciting new and innovative construction methods while providing its members a venue to further promote their professional careers.

The Marin Builders Association has been serving the Marin community for over 50 years. The organization supports the construction industry by promoting high ethical and professional standards, providing quality services to our 1000+ members and working responsibly with the community for the enhancement of the building industry and the well being of the community and the environment. The Marin Builders Association is a certified Green Business and was the 2005 recipient of the Marin Economic Commission's "Environmental Values and Resources Award of Excellence."
