Rex Allen has been a fixture on the local jazz scene for more than 20 years. His San Francisco based 14 piece band has made at least three national tours. Closer to home, the band frequently plays special events such as the Governor's Ball and has packed the house at locations ranging from Santa Cruz's famed Coconut Grove Ballroom to the Fairmont Hotel's Venetian Room.

This year Rex's band will feature Bay Area saxophonist Jeff Sanford. Jeff will conduct a "musical conversation" with Jimmy Kraft, an award winning baritone saxophonist and sophomore at Novato High School/Marin School of the Arts.

Benefit Jazz Jam Play-off

Five Marin high schools will compete in a Battle of the Bands. All donations benefit the high school music programs. Read more about the program on the Jazz Fest page.

Pride & Joy
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Pride & Joy has remained the most popular band on the Bay Area music scene. This group is the Pride of the Bay Area and a Joy to anyone who loves to dance. By presenting the most timeless pop/soul music of our time in an electrifying high-style show, they pull the audience directly into the heart of their performance. The band has regular engagements at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall and throughout the Bay Area.
